Make Music Day Laredo

Make Music is a free celebration of music around the world on June 21st.

Make Music was launched in 1982 in France as the Fête de la Musique, it is now held on the same day in more than 1,000 cities in 120 countries.

Join us at 9am for the Opening Ceremony and a Proclamation by Mayor Pete Saenz. This is the first time Laredo will participate in this global event celebrating the Summer Solstice!

The Proclamation will be followed by musical performances.

We hope you will join us in celebrating the diverse musical talents of all ages in our Gateway City!

Make Music is open to anyone who wants to take part. Every kind of musician — young and old, amateur and professional, of every musical persuasion — pours onto streets, parks, plazas, and porches to share their music with friends, neighbors, and strangers. All of it is free and open to the public.

Anyone and everyone is invited to participate! Simply pick up an instrument and play music at any location! Film your performance & tag @laredocenterforthearts @laredoculturaldistrict & we will share your musical performance!
